Weird
Dear TomHa,
My paddle, well it is not really mine but Nus' but it is assigned to me, had apparently gone MIA together with its owner from Kallang after SDBA! So weird, Jiansheng said he saw it last week, yet no one could actually pin point its location! How werid, perhaps I could do with some help from the Crime Library, alright, bad joke...

Upon some serious reflection, I realised that I actually joined canoeing due to peer pressure as the only sole reason! I mean, without those peer pressure, I would never ever had joined a racing sport in the first place! Afterall, you really have to give it to those athletes involved in racing sports like track and field, kayaking, canoeing, marathon and many many more. They just never get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. I mean even the training is just as dull, going up and down the same old place over and over again. It is so repetitive and stale that it is really no wonder that they are so outrageouly overpaid to keep them motivated. And in our case, when we apparently get no money out of all these outrageous sufferings, How to get motivated?? All the sports that I had been involved in had been much more interesting. Look at WuShu... yes, it is also stale and repetitive and rather senseless to learn stunts that would not be able to defend you effectively in the real world, but at least after all the sufferings, you get to show off to your peers!! Basketball, needless to say is the most interesting game ever, and Jordan alone has endless tricks for you to emulate. Even after I forsake sport and games for some cultural enlightenment - band - it is certainly more interesting than paddling. To get to know pieces that gives you goosebumps and make your hair stand and being able to try to play those pieces to give others the goosbumps and hair-raising experience is a quite an enriching experience! Haha, even juggling, playing table tennis with the wall(my new vent-your-frustration interests) is more intersting. Sigh, always say 'no' to negative influence little kids, or you will end up like uncle with 10 blisters, 1 on each finger...

Anyway, a little point to touch on about all racing sports are really boring. Cycling is definitely not boring. Haha, after cycling for many years, I must say that cycling can really get you into the worst injuries yet still leaving you a happy man at the end of the day. The satisfaction that the lush winds that are gushing upon your face is propelled by your own muscle power is so gratifying. I guess I am a speed junkie... Haha.

My chest hurts a little lately, I suspect some of my old injury is working up on me with all that rain. Sigh.. Rheumatism at such a tender age? I think I am going to die early. Can still remember vividly that fateful day when I was trying some stunt to impress some friends, skipping with my very short gym towel. Lost my balance on one skip and I lost my balance and stumbled a little and out of nowhere, there is a table and I knocked out one of my rib bones against the table edge. Doc says I was really lucky to have not punctured my lungs and I took 7 months to recover fully. Worst injury ever.. Jordan was right that injuring your ribs is the worst thing ever. And I did it before my 11th birthday! I don't think I will ever recover from it, just as Frodo will never recover from his stab at Weathertop. Nice reference.

Dear TomHa,
Argh.. I just love the Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day. Somehow, it just fits in with my life so perfectly. Like this line especially:
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Til then I walk alone

Watched Kingdom of Heaven today and I am seriously wondering why anyone is saying that it is a lousy movie. Although I must agree that Ridley Scott had maked the movie too politically correct, that Orlando Bloom should be the one shooting arrows in behind the walls instead of directing the battle, that Liam Neeson looked more like wielding a light sabre as he did in the Star Wars Part I: Pantom Menace than wielding the sword (High Guard always!), that you expect orcs to rush out of the siege towers than muslims, generally, it is still quite good lah. Haha. Liam Neeson always plays a character that dies too early before he gets to see his protege makes it successfully. Anywhere, I think the best character in the movie must be Salahaddin...
Muslim Warmonger : "We should fight them. Allah will protect us!"
Salahaddin:" How many wars had you all won before I came?"
Warmonger:"Not many, but that is because God had ordained that we lose the war!"
Salahaddin:"No! That's because you all are unprepared!"

Balain:" How much is Jerusalem worth to you?"
Salahaddin:" Nothing.."
Walk a few steps, turns back,
"Everything!"

Alright, I realise it is not really funny over here...

Obese Week
Dear TomHa,
I am officially labelling this week as Obese Week. Had been taking the lift, have not run for ages, been indulging in all the unhealthy stuffs that I think is going to make my fat percentage shoot beyond the 10% mark. Sigh.. I really have to start excercising seriously next week.

Went for many interviews the past few days but to no avail. I had really thought that I had got a job finally as I went for a job interview today somewhere in queenstown for the position of a kitchen helper in a western food stall, but apparently, the uncle boss there wanted a housewife to help him out as he say that housewives should be better, even though I thought I cooked the best fried rice during the interview. The rest of the housewives practically messed up the whole place. Sigh.. I thought I would be able to learn to cook new stuffs this holidays...

Went for a little gym training yesterday and I must admit that attendace is dismal. There are like 3/4 little cats there and a newbie somemore. Haha, guessed I had seriously freaked him out. He was likely complaining to me about a blister on his palm, and there was I, telling him in a very matter-of-factly tone "It is ok if it is not bleeding.." He returned to do his lats pull down, very much freaked out, although I thought it is very normal for us canoeists. Afterall, who is actually psychotic enough to paddle up and down a river stench with all the dead carcasses and digestive ouputs wahed down from every drain and sewage pipe in Singapore? Certainly, only people like us will do that and I don' think that little pain should even matter at all!

There is no problem in this world that cannot be solved by some porn and some beer
Dear TomHa,
In typical Zhirong-ish provocative manner, he had tickled all of the canoeist bewilderment and astonishment at a person's ability to belt out silly quotes by himself. Haha. I mean, although there is some truth in what he had said but, it just seemed so crude and distasteful yet still unbelievably funny. I mean, can't he even try to make it a little subtle?
There is no problem in this world that cannot be solved through some paganistic feminine appreciation and some mind- un- sobering tonics..
Allright, that is a rather bad try but someone who is about to study law belting out such crudity is a little unbelieavable, although I must admit, it really serves to make for a good laugh.

In another of his equally out of this world quote, Zhirong had, again, left us in serious hysteria as he lectured us about how the world would be dominated by the female population in the world of the future and in the end, men would end up as the sex toys of the women it is not as if he would mind. But then again, this brilliant student of economics could have probably got that right. I mean, look the power of women these days, men would go on their knees and serve them willingly, with a trick or two in utilising their feminine charm. Unscrupulous, immoral, indignifying, yet if you look at the number of powerful male who had fallen from grace due to their inability to control their inner carnal desires, you might be truly wondering if Constantine had not reshuffled the world towards the Christian faith and eradicated the female's power in the society by large in the world, would the male be even be dominating now? Look again, throughout the society at large, is the child closer to the mum or the dad? I mean, all children were part of their mums and I guess the bonding that they share during the 9 months of pregnancy is enough to stick the child to the mum whether consciously or unconsciously. So in the end, when all women are able to utilise their feminine charm effectively and when all men are falling to their inner carnal desires, perhaps, perhaps, we might see a global shift of power to the side that had been oppressed for quite some time...

A little note... the references to Constantine and various religious issues are taken out of the fictional book, The Da Vinci Code, and that the author had not bothered himself with the validation of Dan Brown's allegory... Also, the comments are based on the author's understanding of Mr Su's comment on female domination..

P.S "Inner Carnal Desires" is a trademark of Mr. Su Zhirong...

CHIO BU!

CHIO BU!, originally uploaded by Minas Morgul.

Dear TomHa,
Oh my oh my, I think Jolin is getting more and more chio!! My god! I don't know how many surgeries it took for her to transform from the little girl of yester-yesterday to the look today but I like it! Haha. They nicknamed her the teen boy assassin and boy do I feel so murdered... Although there is a tinge of Ayumi in this photo though... Hmmm

Man, my muscles are aching, all because of my stupid big mouth. Why had I suggested sets of 20 reps yesterday? It is killing every ligament in my body now. Can't even raise my hands straight. Guess a gym session after a swimming workout is a rather bad combination. Well, at least I know now.

Not much issues to complain about this few days, well, no news is perhaps good news! I don;t know, let;s see how this holidays work out...

You'll Never Walk Alone!

Dear TomHa,
Oh my, oh my, no more the 'special one' Jose?? Haha. Felt so happy that finally, the blue tide of Chelsea is crushed by the insurmountable tide of the red sea. Felt really good, afterall it had been many years since Liverpool actually stop underperforming and give their fans something to cheer about. Now, 90 minutes is all that stands in the way towards the ultimate football prize. All the way! You'll never Walk Alone! The red wave is always behind you!

Nobody wants me...
Dear TomHa,
I seriously think that in the end, I might end with no work at all due to the green card of invalidity! Damn... That's really bad..

Anyway, went with Wenyang to pay our last respects to former president Mr Wee Kim Wee. Must say that it was a rather sombre moment inside the Istana, albeit the police thoughts that I was a terrorist with a pen knife in my bag.. Darn, I didn't know it was even inside all along. Rest in peace, Mr Wee, may your soul find solace in the achievements that you had done for Singapore.

Faith does not protect you.. Medicine and airbags do..
Dear TomHa,
Finally caught up with the rest of the world and started reading Dan Brown. Must say that Angels and Demons is a rather compelling read and I guess it is sentences like that of the title of this entry that serves to make his books ever so controversial. Will start Da Vinci Code tommorrow, and I just can't imagine how in the world is it going to be better as all my friends had told me. Anyway, I find that perhaps my study of physics had served me rather well to know about all the things that the scientists are inventing although I must say that everything religion in the book is a big mess in my eyes. I thought I once heard that Christians and Catholics are loggerheads with each other? Then why are the references so freely interchanged with one another? Or issit anything that is associated with churches can be referred to as Christian or Catholics interchangebly. The Carmelengo is rather cool though, and I think that symbology should be a rather interesting module to take, will take it if NUS happened to offer 1 haha.. Illuminati and stuffs are rather ok for me, thanks to the geopolitics class I took last semester. The lecturer told us a great deal about the New World Order and Galileo's Illuminati, and as always, I find reading about the things that I had studied in class being applied to fiction rather interesting.. Hehe

Labour Day had passed, time to look for employment

Don't really want to go back to Orchid Garden, shall tour around the farms in LimChu Kang and all those gardens all around Singapore to seek employment. Hope someone will take interest in my skills of making sure that the flowers bloom! Haha..

Life is good
Slept till around 12pm, quite dizzy after that, guess I am still not used to sleeping a lot, it is like after starving for a few days, you can't just give the victim all the food in the world and expect him to survive.. I guess same thing applies to sleep. In any case, if you do not already know, the very famous chinese poet, Du Fu, died as after being trapped in a hut for a few days after a flood, some kind samaritarian gave him lots of food to eat and upon doing so, Du Fu died of indigestion. What a tragic end to one of the world's most talented poet.. Anyway, back to the point. After breakfast(Maybe lunch should be a better term) and a cup of good coffee and keeping in touch of the rest of the world through my papers, I sat to finish my Angels and Demons. After the reading, I set out on my hedonistic adventure in the NUS swimming pool where I swam till I almost dropped.. Quite intersting to swim in a really congested pool as evsive measures had to be taken at all times. Constant Vigilance or you'll never know when your trunks will be ripped apart by some unknowing person.. Alright, that is a bit of exaggeration. Then, my favourite part of the day, Dinner! Ate Kway Chap and a huge bowl of Ice Kachang for dessert. Life is good Haven't ate Kway Chap for months! All the intestines and stuff and the shivering cold of the ice kachang, certainly brings pleasure to me. Unhealthy indulgence as what I always say, but who cares.. Remember this day, today, Life is good...

Time out, bye!
