Faith does not protect you.. Medicine and airbags do..
Dear TomHa,
Finally caught up with the rest of the world and started reading Dan Brown. Must say that Angels and Demons is a rather compelling read and I guess it is sentences like that of the title of this entry that serves to make his books ever so controversial. Will start Da Vinci Code tommorrow, and I just can't imagine how in the world is it going to be better as all my friends had told me. Anyway, I find that perhaps my study of physics had served me rather well to know about all the things that the scientists are inventing although I must say that everything religion in the book is a big mess in my eyes. I thought I once heard that Christians and Catholics are loggerheads with each other? Then why are the references so freely interchanged with one another? Or issit anything that is associated with churches can be referred to as Christian or Catholics interchangebly. The Carmelengo is rather cool though, and I think that symbology should be a rather interesting module to take, will take it if NUS happened to offer 1 haha.. Illuminati and stuffs are rather ok for me, thanks to the geopolitics class I took last semester. The lecturer told us a great deal about the New World Order and Galileo's Illuminati, and as always, I find reading about the things that I had studied in class being applied to fiction rather interesting.. Hehe

Labour Day had passed, time to look for employment

Don't really want to go back to Orchid Garden, shall tour around the farms in LimChu Kang and all those gardens all around Singapore to seek employment. Hope someone will take interest in my skills of making sure that the flowers bloom! Haha..

Life is good
Slept till around 12pm, quite dizzy after that, guess I am still not used to sleeping a lot, it is like after starving for a few days, you can't just give the victim all the food in the world and expect him to survive.. I guess same thing applies to sleep. In any case, if you do not already know, the very famous chinese poet, Du Fu, died as after being trapped in a hut for a few days after a flood, some kind samaritarian gave him lots of food to eat and upon doing so, Du Fu died of indigestion. What a tragic end to one of the world's most talented poet.. Anyway, back to the point. After breakfast(Maybe lunch should be a better term) and a cup of good coffee and keeping in touch of the rest of the world through my papers, I sat to finish my Angels and Demons. After the reading, I set out on my hedonistic adventure in the NUS swimming pool where I swam till I almost dropped.. Quite intersting to swim in a really congested pool as evsive measures had to be taken at all times. Constant Vigilance or you'll never know when your trunks will be ripped apart by some unknowing person.. Alright, that is a bit of exaggeration. Then, my favourite part of the day, Dinner! Ate Kway Chap and a huge bowl of Ice Kachang for dessert. Life is good Haven't ate Kway Chap for months! All the intestines and stuff and the shivering cold of the ice kachang, certainly brings pleasure to me. Unhealthy indulgence as what I always say, but who cares.. Remember this day, today, Life is good...

Time out, bye!
