Weird
Dear TomHa,
My paddle, well it is not really mine but Nus' but it is assigned to me, had apparently gone MIA together with its owner from Kallang after SDBA! So weird, Jiansheng said he saw it last week, yet no one could actually pin point its location! How werid, perhaps I could do with some help from the Crime Library, alright, bad joke...

Upon some serious reflection, I realised that I actually joined canoeing due to peer pressure as the only sole reason! I mean, without those peer pressure, I would never ever had joined a racing sport in the first place! Afterall, you really have to give it to those athletes involved in racing sports like track and field, kayaking, canoeing, marathon and many many more. They just never get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. I mean even the training is just as dull, going up and down the same old place over and over again. It is so repetitive and stale that it is really no wonder that they are so outrageouly overpaid to keep them motivated. And in our case, when we apparently get no money out of all these outrageous sufferings, How to get motivated?? All the sports that I had been involved in had been much more interesting. Look at WuShu... yes, it is also stale and repetitive and rather senseless to learn stunts that would not be able to defend you effectively in the real world, but at least after all the sufferings, you get to show off to your peers!! Basketball, needless to say is the most interesting game ever, and Jordan alone has endless tricks for you to emulate. Even after I forsake sport and games for some cultural enlightenment - band - it is certainly more interesting than paddling. To get to know pieces that gives you goosebumps and make your hair stand and being able to try to play those pieces to give others the goosbumps and hair-raising experience is a quite an enriching experience! Haha, even juggling, playing table tennis with the wall(my new vent-your-frustration interests) is more intersting. Sigh, always say 'no' to negative influence little kids, or you will end up like uncle with 10 blisters, 1 on each finger...

Anyway, a little point to touch on about all racing sports are really boring. Cycling is definitely not boring. Haha, after cycling for many years, I must say that cycling can really get you into the worst injuries yet still leaving you a happy man at the end of the day. The satisfaction that the lush winds that are gushing upon your face is propelled by your own muscle power is so gratifying. I guess I am a speed junkie... Haha.

My chest hurts a little lately, I suspect some of my old injury is working up on me with all that rain. Sigh.. Rheumatism at such a tender age? I think I am going to die early. Can still remember vividly that fateful day when I was trying some stunt to impress some friends, skipping with my very short gym towel. Lost my balance on one skip and I lost my balance and stumbled a little and out of nowhere, there is a table and I knocked out one of my rib bones against the table edge. Doc says I was really lucky to have not punctured my lungs and I took 7 months to recover fully. Worst injury ever.. Jordan was right that injuring your ribs is the worst thing ever. And I did it before my 11th birthday! I don't think I will ever recover from it, just as Frodo will never recover from his stab at Weathertop. Nice reference.
